Attention NCA Candidates: Important Updates to the 2026 Examination Schedule!
The NCA has released its examination schedule for 2026, bringing several key adjustments that current and prospective candidates should be aware of, especially regarding exam timing and accommodation policies.
A General Shift in Exam Timing
If you are planning your study schedule based on previous years, note that many examination sessions in 2026 have shifted slightly earlier compared to their 2025 counterparts. For instance, many monthly sessions, particularly in January, February, and March, saw exams move approximately five days earlier in the month . For example, Commercial Law moved from January 10 (2025) to January 5 (2026), and Business Organizations moved from February 7 (2025) to February 2 (2026). This general movement means candidates should verify the new dates carefully when planning their 2026 registration.
New Emphasis on Accommodation Deadlines and Documentation
Perhaps the most important structural change is the NCA's detailed approach to accommodation requests in 2026. While the 2025 schedule did not include specific accommodation deadlines, the 2026 schedule explicitly lists an "Accommodation Forms due by" date for every single session.
Candidates must submit their request for accommodations using the appropriate completed forms and all other necessary supporting documentation no later than the stated deadline. The NCA schedule highlights a crucial policy detail: Submitting your documentation by the stated deadline does not assure that the NCA will accommodate your request if the information provided is insufficient or incomplete. The NCA also noted that it is unable to make decisions from incomplete requests.
